We’re deeply thankful to our growers, cellar team, and everyone who brings these wines to life. Pinot Noir has always been at the core of what we do, and my goal has always been to craft distinctive wines, each bottle telling its own story of vineyard, place, and vintage.
Tasting the 2023 Pinot Noir Collection
Here’s what makes each of these 2023 Pinot Noirs special:
- 2023 Pinot Noir, Fay’s Reserve – My goal is to make this the wine that shines above the rest. With expressive aromatics, complexity, and richness, I am proud of this wine for following through on our intent.
- 2023 Pinot Noir, Bacigalupi Vineyards – I knew when we blended this wine into tank it was the best Bacigalupi we’ve made to date. That has not changed.
- 2023 Pinot Noir, Sangiacomo Vineyard – Our first vintage from venerable Sangiacomo’s Roberts Road Vineyard. This stylish and extravagantly fruited wine has commanded attention from Day 1 and has nearly sold out in a flash.
- 2023 Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley – This AVA blend is our most gentle and subtle Pinot Noir. A wine that glides across the palate. So pretty.
- 2023 Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast – This wine has blossomed in the last two months. Ainsley’s favorite, this has been flying out of the tasting room this summer. Whole cluster spice and everything nice.
- 2023 Pinot Noir, Petaluma Gap – Get to know why this has become the “it AVA” for Pinot Noir. This wine provides beautiful structure while delivering plenty of purple fruits.
- 2023 Pinot Noir, Ueberroth Vineyard – Our broadest-shouldered Pinot of the vintage is just starting to unfold. Brooding and savory, the fruit is just starting to show itself and we can’t wait to see where this goes over the next couple of years.
- 2023 Pinot Noir, Sonoma County – The one with a little bit of everything in terms of vineyards and flavor profile. Aromatic, earthy, and red-fruited. At $39, this wine can’t be beat.
Why We Love Pinot Noir
For me, Pinot Noir is about nuance and individuality. No two vineyards, or even two barrels, are ever the same. That’s what keeps us captivated vintage after vintage, and what makes celebrating these 2023 Sonoma County Pinot Noirs so special.
We hope you’ll taste the personality and magic in each of these wines, just as we have.
